The traditional role of immigrants has been to almost act as a brain drain on the rest of the world. The only difference between then and now is that the new generation, doesn't seem to want to sign the guest book, when the come in the window. For an immigrant, in my opinion, if you find you're sitting in sand on a sagebrush plain with a gun at your head and your hands above that head, you might have wanted to check with us to see if it was ok to drop by. We used to import brains, now we import poverty.
But they only do the jobs we won't! Well, who did them before? Well, we did, and we were paid more because they were difficult. What we have now, is displaced american workers who's jobs have been taken by migrants. Oops, just created another class of poverty. I'll quite while I am ahead.
